Stanstead flights for American Airlines 30th October 2007
American Airlines will be the only transatlantic service between New York and Stansted to offer both business class and economy class seats. The new flights will operate using a Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 225 seats, including 30 business class and 195 economy seats in the economy cabin.
AA's new business class seats are designed to give passengers more 'flexibility' and 'privacy'. The fully motorised lie-flat seats, in a 2-2-2 configuration, offer a personal in-flight entertainment device with audio and video on demand.
American is set to begin work at Stansted for the AA business lounge Satellite Two, ready for completion in spring 2008, with a seating capacity for 48 people. The lounge will feature amenities such as a self-service bar, cyber café, wireless and wired internet access and two shower rooms. Passengers will be able to board directly from the business lounge.
