New Malaysia Airlines lounge in KL.

7th May 2008

Malaysia Airlines has opened a new Regional Golden Lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It is open to First and Business class passengers, as well as Enrich Platinum and Gold members (regardless of what class they are travelling in) and Silver members if they redeem miles (on a per-entrance basis).

Located on level 5 of the main terminal building, there is a dramatic entrance pavilion with water features. Inside there is plenty of sandstone, marble, timber and a "jungle concept" landscaping. Which in effect means plenty of plants in pots. There is also a spa service, foot reflexology, 15-minute head and shoulder massages, and manicures and pedicures. The business centre is pretty basic, with just four PCs with internet access, a fax and photocopying service, and conference room.

There is the usual snack bar (with some hot food), a Muslim prayer-room, and a full alcoholic bar service.

The lounge can accommodate up to 190 passengers and is open daily from 5am to 2am.
